Is my puppy guaranteed to be healthy when I purchase it?
Yes, to the best of the breeder’s knowledge, your puppy is in good health at the time of sale. The puppy will come with first vaccinations and multiple de-wormings, with records provided.
What kind of health guarantee is included with my puppy?
Your puppy is guaranteed against life-threatening genetic defects until one year of age. If a qualifying defect is found, a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered from the next available litter. This is a replacement-only guarantee—no refunds will be issued.
What do I need to do to maintain the health guarantee?
To keep the guarantee valid, you must:
Return the puppy (with all papers) within 10 days of diagnosis, at your expense, with veterinarian diagnosis and all paper work from vet.
Take your puppy to a vet within 2–3 weeks of purchase
Keep vaccinations and de-wormings current
Use and provide proof of NuVet vitamins
Provide a vet’s written statement and diagnosis in case of serious illness or death
Are there any health conditions or issues not covered by the guarantee?
Yes. The guarantee does not cover:
Any problems arising from abuse, breeding, sale, or lack of medical care
Common issues like coccidia, giardia, parasites, or hypoglycemia
Conditions like pinched nostrils, hernias, or color variations
Communicable diseases (e.g., Parvo, distemper) after 7 days from purchase
What happens if I bought my puppy with limited AKC/CKC registration?
All puppies will be sold with limited registration (AKC/CKC), unless otherwise specified and agreed to. The breeder may withhold registration papers until proof of spay/neuter is provided. Full registration is available only by prior written agreement and at an additional cost.
What if I can’t keep my puppy anymore?
The breeder will always take the puppy back if you’re no longer able to care for it—but will not refund any money. You agree never to take the puppy to a pound or shelter.
